Review Game Wanara Runner

Hi everybody, meet again with me. In this session i will show to you about review game “Wanara Runner”. Wanara runner is game whose created by collaboration from mechanimotion entertainment and the flavare studio. Mechanimotion entertainment and the flavare studio are located in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.

Okay, now i will tell you about the crew who created this game, that’s the crew :

1. Radityo Hernanda as Programmer and gameplay.

2. Benny Susanto as game designer.

3. Adhicipta R. Wirawan as original story.

4. Bonnie Soeherman as original artist.

5. Tory Tatsumaki as game designer.

6. Albert Anderson as game designer.

7. And the last, Masdito Bachtiar as music composser.

This game was created in 2014 and was release in public on 02 August 2014. This game made by framework ADT (Android Development Tools) and Libgdx for programming and Adobe Illustrator for design character and environment.

Ehmm.. okay, now i will tell you the scenario about this game. In this game, tell to us that cora the fastest wanara was stole hastabrata element from naradja. After naradja conscious that case, he go to chase cora and take back the hastabrata element.

The game have 2 main character, Naradja and Laksmi. Naradja is a monkey wanara whose form generation of Rama, and laksmi is sister from naradja.

Other character in this game are cora and the pig troops who will block’s player in the way.

Type of this game is side scrolling automatic platformer and endless runner game. Player will run automatically and the task of player is press the screen one time to make the character jump and press the screen two times to make the character double jump. Player must avoid the enemies who block’s in the way by jump and stomp the enemies. Enemies will die if we can stomp themselves.

Player have to collect coin to upgrade the skill of character. Character will die if he collide with the pig troops, fall in the hole or out of screen. Many enemies will block’s the character way’s and many arrow in the way. If character collide with arrow, the position of character will decrese and if character collide straight away, he will be out of screen and die. Level difficulty of this game is made in a random manner, sometime hard in beginning and easy in last or the other way. For published, this game was published in android.

Positive impact :

1. As comforter in a freetime.

2. Make player happy if he can get the farthest space than his friend.

3. Game not makes player addicted.

Negative impact :

1. Makes player bored if playing immediately.

2. Makes player dejected if he fail.

Conclusion :

Game have a good illustration, but the game haven’t tutorial feature to explain player how to play this game. This game also haven’t some mission to make the game so interesting. I hope this game can update to be better from the team.
